An EU Farm.
EU Farms are farms certified as organic, with at least two different production activities, including at least one arable crop and/or livestock activity, and at least one processing activity and/or on-farm sales activity.
EUfarms offer several services: They provide access to a network of diverse organic agroecological farms: Exchange spaces (WhatsApp groups, regular video meetings, events in France and across Europe); Funded study trips to gain knowledge and inspiration; The opportunity to invite a European expert to your farm free of charge; Horizontal and participatory governance (participation in General Assemblies and working groups). They help demonstrate the viability and resilience of organic agroecology: Carry out a paid farm assessment using the IDEA 4 methodology and benefit from this strategic decision-making and evaluation tool; Contribute to building a robust database to influence agricultural policies and advocate for agroecological and organic farms; Take part in European research-action projects and receive payment for doing so. They can share their knowledge and become host farms: Receive free training on hosting practices and become a preferred farm within the EUfarms+ network (European learning farms); Benefit from customised educational tools created by EUfarms together with the farm, to support hosting and peer-to-peer learning; Be paid for welcoming visitors to their farm and for training other farmers and project leaders.
An aspiring farm or project holder
Aspiring farms are organic farms or farms undergoing conversion to organic farming that are interested in the EUfarms model: diversified farms based on organic agroecology.
Project holders are also welcome to join the network and draw inspiration from EUfarms as part of their agricultural project.
Members benefit from the many services offered by the EUfarms network: They have access to a network of diverse organic agroecological farms: EUfarms: Exchange spaces (WhatsApp groups, regular video meetings, events in France and across Europe); EUfarms+: Funded study trips to learn and gain inspiration, with mobility grants available for short- and long-term stays on our host farms; Training opportunities in a collaborative spirit with other aspiring farms and project holders, through dedicated study trips to help them become diverse organic agroecological farms; Support and peer-to-peer exchange regarding their projects with the various stakeholders of the EUfarms ecosystem.
A network of farms, cooperatives, associations, CUMAs, etc.
Farm networks (cooperatives, associations, CUMAs, etc.) can become EUfarms members and benefit from dedicated services:
Organise one or more tailor-made study trips for your team in Europe, with costs covered by European grants, to visit farms or cooperatives you would like to discover; Bring a European expert to France for a meeting within your network; Involve you in Horizon Europe projects in which EUfarms will participate (e.g. European livestock self-sufficiency through European legumes). These projects help showcase your network and provide financial compensation to the farms involved for the time they contribute.
Others (Citizens, non-profit organisations, companies)
